recently i got an email to do 25 random things about being a mom but i thought it was better suited for tyler's blog. so here it is for all that emailed me this...
1. i am fluent in toddler speak. for example... ba- means bath
2. my child is the smartest, most beautiful human being I've ever given birth to... i will feel the same way about consecutive children should we choose to have them.
3. my eyes well up with tears when my son is happy or excited. i am a complete sap about everything now.
4. i now care about iron, protein, and sugar content
5. i don't trust anyone other than myself, husband & few family members with my son. he is the most precious treasure i was given and i would give my life to protect him-oh, but his babysitter is someone i trust also.
6. my son is a mommy's boy. i secretly love this. it makes me smile knowing that i must be doing something right for him to love me this much. i hope it lasts!
7. i do not miss my life before tyler
8. i think of myself as a mom first and everything else next
9. i would love to be a stay at home mom
10. rocking tyler in a chair before bed is something i look foward to everyday
11. i have referred to tony as "daddy" while talking to friends
12. watching time race by, while hoping it could stand still for just a minute.
13. i wish tyler could learn from my mistakes without having to experience them.
14. for some reason when i try to shop for myself- i only come back with things for tyler
15. i love it when he rests his head on my shoulder, it seems like that is what that spot whas made for. i know tony loves this too..
16. i am better at being a mom then i thought i would be but i am worse at being a mom than i thought too
17. i love that my parents adore my son
18. i eat my dinner cold every night that i am not working
19. tyler had horriable colic. he cried for 14 hours straight one day. before my mom got to my house, i was holding him and crying "why do you hate me". funny how that has changed
20. i don't like other moms who make you feel guilty for the choices you make- it's hard enough- don't make it harder
21. before i had tyler, i hated when someone would say "oh, you wouldn't understand because you dont have a kid". now that i do, i refuse to say it. expecially to people who are trying to get pregnant. it is like kicking them while they are down.
22. a crib can hold at least 135 lbs. despite what daddy says.
23. i don't like playing cars or trucks but i do it anyway
24. i secretly like to watch cartoons- tony does too
25. i wish i could kiss that fat little 5 month old baby face one more time!

You are both so blessed! I love hearing about all the things Tyler is doing from your mom and her excitement over being a grandma. #17 is so true - he is definitely adored by his grandparents! At least once a day your mom will say, "I love him." Enjoy every minute of it!
